A spring packed with exciting client projects

2026-04-17

There’s a lot going on here at Manifest PR! This spring has brought everything from sustainability debates and advocacy for circular consumption to creative events and new cultural experiences.

A linguistic debate on recycled goods
Our client Rekomo is challenging the traditional view of the term “second-hand”. Today, the word is defined in the Swedish dictionary as something worn out that has lost its value – a description that undermines the value of recycling. In an opinion piece in Dagens ETC, Rekomo, together with our clients refurbed and Hållbar Interiör, among others, argues that second-hand is not the opposite of quality, but rather of new production. They now want to see an updated definition that better reflects the true value of a circular economy.

A colourful event celebrating love
Together with BIC, we have spent the last three years developing a recurring Valentine’s Day concept centred on handwritten love letters. This year, the concept took a new step through a collaboration with the Swedish artist Elin PK. Together with BIC, she launched a love poster featuring a Swedish chocolate cake (Kärleksmums) and a unique BIC motif. To celebrate the launch, we also organised an influencer event in Gothenburg where creative guests were treated to food by Louise Ljung and the chance to write handwritten letters with BIC pens.

Doggy’s Dog Cinema at the Gothenburg Film Festival
From one event to the next! During this year’s Gothenburg Film Festival, our client Doggy launched ’Sit. Stay. Cinema!’ – film screenings where dogs were also welcome, giving dog owners a new opportunity to enjoy the festival. Manifest PR was responsible for activation, inviting guests and the media, and content production. The event was covered by, among others, Göteborgs-Posten and P4 Göteborg.

New PR initiatives for circular electronics
Together with refurbed, we are continuing to put refurbished electronics on the agenda. Over the spring, we have carried out several PR initiatives on the subject, including ongoing outreach to the business press, product tests and a campaign themed ‘spring clean your electronics’. The initiative is based on a survey showing that millions of mobile phones sit unused, gathering dust in Swedish homes – despite containing large quantities of valuable metals that would be put to better use elsewhere. refurbed continues to grow in the Swedish and European markets, and has recently launched a new mascot and an exclusive partnership with GoPro.

PR that makes a difference
This is just a glimpse of what we’ve been up to recently. Together with our clients, we continue to develop communications that engage, challenge and drive change.
